The Annual Step-Up Death Benefit, offers an additional benefit for your beneficiaries that may enable them to receive an amount greater than the standard death benefit. It guarantees the annuity's principal at death, and it captures potential gains that may increase the contract value, "locking in" the highest contract anniversary value on each contract anniversary, up to age 75.

Annual Step-Up Death Benefit at a glance
If the owner's death occurs prior to annuitization, beneficiaries will receive the greater of:

The contract value on the date death is reported to us,

The total of all payments into the contract, reduced proportionately for withdrawals,

The highest value the contract attained on any contract anniversary up to the year the owner attained age 75.
